My apartment used to belong to my grandparents. Through a strange twist of fate, I inherited it and all it contained when I was 23. One of the things that came with it was this roll of plastic wrap. I finally used it up today. It only took me 12 years. I guess I’m not much of a plastic wrap user.
That is awesome. I never buy plastic wrap either, but we have some in our sublet that I use from time to time.
What do you use for storing/covering/keeping? I use mason jars as much as possible, and recycle aluminum foil if we ever use it, but love to use less waste.
Holy crap, that has to be some sort of record. Nice.
I always put a piece of plastic wrap on leftover cakes and pizza, so the icing/cheese doesn’t cling to the foil. Works like a charm.
So cool. I think it would be neat to inherit a dwelling and its contents.
As for plastic wrap, I used up my last roll a year or so ago and have not replaced it. Have not missed it. I still have some plastic bags around, and they fill in as needed (rarely needed). It’s great to be using kitchen methods from an earlier time. . .
